Alpacas can be sheared from May. This must be done every year to prevent diseases. We have followed the necessary training in the Netherlands and have years of experience in shearing alpacas.

We take the opportunity to check the general condition of the animal based on our experience, without assessing its medical condition (we are not veterinarians). If desired, we will give you our "tips & tricks" so that you can enjoy your alpacas even more.

Prices with VAT (per alpaca) included:

Shearing and nails: €60 per alpaca and health check. Extra blade for shearing: €10. Teeth trimming: €10 per alpaca. But please notify us beforehand. Relocation costs: Per kilometer, €0.4237.

An additional blade for shearing should usually be used if the wool contains many grains of earth or sand. It is therefore recommended to keep the animals away from soil and sand before shearing (see notes below).

The travel costs are charged for the number of kilometers from "Alpaca Bambrugge" to you and back.

Installing, tying, shaving and caring for an alpaca's nails and cleaning up takes approximately 45 minutes per alpaca. Alpacas must be dry when shearing. It is advisable to put the alpacas on grass a few days before shearing. place, i.e. not in sand or on ground. After all, when shearing a fur that contains many grains of earth and/or sand, the blade quickly becomes blunt. The use of an extra knife is charged at €10. Place the alpacas in their stable in advance so that they can be caught quickly. An additional charge will be charged for catching alpacas that are not in a stable. Provide plastic and electricity. You must provide 1 helper. This helps us to put the animal in the correct position for shearing and to hold the neck down. If you do not have a helper yourself, we can provide one at 15 euros per hour, starting from departure at " Alpaca Bambrugge" until homecoming.

For the Alpaca Bambrugge stud service you can visit us ("Drive by") or we will come to you ("Mobile").

Drive by

With a 'drive by' service, you bring the mare and have her covered by us. After mating, you immediately take the mare back home and take care of the pregnancy diagnosis yourself. If the mare does not appear to be pregnant, you can return the mare to have her mated again.
Mobile

The stallion comes to you with a 'mobile mating'. The mare will be covered by you and after covering the stallion will return to Bambrugge. You take care of the pregnancy diagnosis yourself. If the mare is not pregnant, we will return with the stallion to have her covered again. Travel costs are charged for each journey.

Photo shoots

A photo shoot is included with every guided walk. We take the photos and ensure that they reach you the same day via WhatsApp or AirDrop.

You can also reserve specific photo shoots in advance for the time you spend with our animals on the occasion of weddings, birthday parties, family parties, team building events, bachelor parties, etc. This way you will have a fun and tangible memory.

We are happy to think along with you, so please feel free to contact us to develop your plans.

Events
